The hydrating formula of this facial cleansing oil draws out oils, removes sunscreen and waterproof makeup (even mascara), which makes it perfect for incorporating into your skincare ritual. Ideal for all skin types, including dry skin, oily skin, sensitive skin, acne-prone skin, and combination skin.
The Camellia Cleansing Oil should be used as the first part of the double cleansing step in your skincare routine, before a face wash or other traditional cleansers. Begin with dry hands and a dry face. Apply 1-2 pumps into the palm of your hand. Massage into skin in circular motions. Rinse with warm water. The oil will emulsify into a milk, melting away makeup and impurities effortlessly. Safe for use around the eye area. Can be used morning and night. For best results, follow with The Rice Polish.

Get it!
Although it’s a bit on the pricey side, it is luxurious and doesn’t have an awful scent. It removed my waterproof mascara and eye liner, as well as my lip tint. Even using 3-4 pumps a day, one bottle has lasted me 4 months! Well worth the product and love that the bottle is minimalistic.

Removes My Waterproof Makeup!
I love this makeup remover! All I need is three pumps for my waterproof eye makeup without losing any eyelashes. I've tried other brands and was disappointed with the lack of removal, skin irritation, and loss of eyelashes. My skin feels more clean, and it's fragrance-free. I will be purchasing it again.

Melts my makeup off completely and doesn’t burn my eyes! I always had problems in the past with other oil cleansers burning my eyes. The price made me hesitant but glad I got it. Won’t be looking for another oil cleanser.

Highly recommend!
This product is efficacious while also being very gentle for my sensitive skin. I use this as the first step in my evening routine to get rid of all of the war paint before going in for a good cleanse with a foaming cleanser or, on alternating evenings, using the Tatcha Rice Polish, which I would also recommend to anyone looking to improve the texture of their skin.

I am a die-hard Tatcha fan and I just found this so-so. It’s not bad, just didn’t wow me like every other product of theirs!

Burned!
I wanted to like this so badly. It's my first oil cleanser, which I hear is truly the best. As I'm aging, I worry about dryness and am very focused on moisture. At first, I thought I scrubbed my face too hard, but then 2 days later, I saw the red patches where it burned the most. My face feels like it's on fire; especially around the eyes, which makes no sense since it's a makeup remover. I stopped using it after a week, and days later, my face still feels like it's on fire. I researched and found out this product has the reputation of burning skin. Ugh!! I've used Tatcha face moisturize cream, and I think it's just something in this oil as opposed to the entire skin line. Sorry, Tatcha, but you have to be returned.

This feels so good. Started double cleansing with this and no regrets. The most perfect way to remove the makeup.

Nice, but too pricy
So I decided to splurge on this after my other cleansing oil (Shiseido) was out of stock. I mostly use it to dissolve my sunscreen at the end of the day. The Tatcha oil is indeed a lovely product with a light but pleasant fragrance. Works well to dissolve my sunscreen and bb cream. Easy to use pump applicator that also comes with a cap (which I really like!). While it does what it says, I didn’t notice any difference between this and the other less expensive cleansing oils. The Shiseido and Sulwhasoo products both did the same job. I will certainly use it up, but I personally wouldn’t repurchase this product.

New favourite first cleanse
I have been buying a different makeup remover every time I need a new one for the past couple years. I started using this cleanser 2 weeks ago and I will definitely repurchase. I use it for a first cleanse in the evening if I’ve worn makeup and/or sunscreen. It easily removes my mascara and doesn’t sting my eyes. The oil is so light and silky and easy to spread all over my face, and it washes off so easily. Some cleansers I’ve used take a little work to remove every last trace. The only downside to this cleanser is the fact that you have to apply it with dry hands to a dry face (I like to wash my face in the shower). I haven’t done otherwise, but since it is so easy to wash off I can see how if your hands were wet at all the cleanser would dilute super easily or just wash away. Overall, I love it.

The It Girl
Don’t even think about it just get it. She’s incredible. Takes off all of your makeup on the first try, yes even stubborn mascara, trust. And it doesn’t leave any residue behind on your skin. If I could bathe in this I would. It’s worth every penny.

The Camellia Cleansing Oil
Elite Oil Cleanser
While this product CAN remove makeup, I would use - ahem - something cheaper to do that. This is the best oil cleanser. I used to use Lancome, but they discontinued that product. This is out of rotation for me right now while I polish off the Glow Recipe papaya cleaning balm, which is just OK.
