My Comfy Matte

Loved trying the different finishes!

This sample was perfect to try the three finishes for MY 2018. I usually go for a matte finish, but I loved the sheer finish in this shade. It was also perfect for the holiday season! If you’re looking for a good red lipstick, definitely take a look at this shade.

Great Rich Color Payoff

I received a sample size card of Dolce & Gabbana’s Your Lip Trio, featuring matte, satin and sheer finishes. Available in 54 shades, I received samples in the shade MY 2018, all of which were very flattering on my lips. The enclosed brush made it effortless to apply the lip samples smoothly and evenly. The MY Comfy Matte applied seamlessly and instantly hydrated my lips, at the same time giving them a rich color payoff. MY Sculpt Satin gave my lips a defined sculpted look, with good color and long lasting hydration. Finally, MY Juicy Sheer gave my lips great color and shine as well as hydration, and was very comfortable to wear. I honestly can’t tell which one is my favorite; I loved them all, and will definitely be purchasing full sizes in the future!

Good texture and brilliant colour

I liked the texture and colours of the lipsticks, however I’m not giving 5 starts because I’m not very sure about the durability of it. When I used it I went out for dinner and after a while it was gone. Depending on the price I’ll might buy them

Good

Love this! It came with a brush so it made it super easy to apply. It doesn’t smell like anything at all and glides on so smoothly which makes it amazing for long wear.

Bold lip option

I received this sample from Dolce & Gabana free of charge in exchange for my honest review. This was a great sample to experience 3 lip products - matte, satin, and sheer. All of these samples were in the shade MY 2018. This shade is not to my taste and I’m not sure I could pull off this bold lip, but I can tell from the swatches that this is a quality product. I believe, from the swatches, I can see why this is advertised as hydrating. The formula has a light, neutral scent and is very easy to apply. My favorite of the 3 is the “My Juicy Sheer” and is pictured as the bottom swatch in my review. This applied the easiest of the 3 in my opinion and has an amazing shine!

Pretty, but not for me

This review is specifically on the matte finish. Now, matte lipsticks are not my cup of tea however, the My 2018 color that I tried was very pigmented. The texture is smooth and with the little brush the sample came with maybe made it harder to apply. I think if this were in its normal packaging it would glide on easier. If you like matte lipsticks I would recommend this brand. Of the three finishes they offer, I prefer the juicy sheer.

Amazing staying power!

Overall I think these three lipsticks were really good. Even though they were sample sizes, I still have enough to get 3 more uses out of them because a little goes a long way with this product due to how pigmented they are. There is no smell or anything like that and within this sample card we got a sheer, satin, and matte. Overall matte of my favorite because it was practically transfer proof and the color was perfect. I often don’t by reds but I might have to!

Love

I love this color! This lipstick is so pretty, long lasting and super comfortable on the lips. I’ve been needing a new red lipstick and this one is perfect!

Meh

The satin and matte finishes have great pigmentation. Satin was probably my favorite of all 3 options, but nothing groundbreaking. Comfortable, nice texture, and didn't didn't enhance texture. Matte lasts a decent amount of time, but I did find that it started to feel uncomfortably dry after the first hour and enhanced texture. Sheer was okay. I wish it had a richer feeling texture and gave a bit more moisture.

I would have liked to receive a real size and not a mini sample, I haven't used it yet but it has a good finish, its essence is soft, it has full coverage, a professional finish worthy of its brand. For me the texture is light.

Sample size lipstick

Texture is good for this lipstick but its sample size so am not able to use it multiple times. Am not quite happy with this sample size as its effective to try and give honest review. Packaging was ok

Nice soft matte

It feels like a soft matte and I love the color against my brown skin. It doesn't have a scent and the packaging was sent in a sample size package. I would purchase in the future.
