I bought this a week ago.

Awesomely thick but a little gritty

This will be great for winter on my skin but couldn’t get over the grit. It feels like an exfoliant. Wasn’t terrible but definitely noticeable.

I bought this cream for years, then, it was out of stock for a while, freaked me out, then came back! The older version of it was awesome, very moisturizing but not oily or heavy, and a nice pleasant sent, that didn’t smell like the “non-scented” products (iykyk) New formula is somehow better! It’s Thicker, but not heavier, so the jar lasts longer. Scent is still amazing. At this price, I don’t see how it can get better! Also, bonus, my dermatologist oked it!

New formula warning

I used to love this cream. The new formula is NOTHING like the old one. Completely different texture. Super grainy (I thought at first I must have gotten crumbs on my face or something but no, it was the moisturizer). New super strong candy-ish scent that is very cloying and lasts forever. I’m going to try to return it even though I opened it because it’s so bad I can’t even stick to it.

Did I get a bad batch

This product lasts forever so I assume in the time I needed to get a new one something changed in the formula because this is definitely not the same as when I had it a few months ago. Before this was like the holy grail. I would put it on at night and wake up with perfectly moisturized skin. Now it’s kind of tacky and very fragrant with out the same results.

What happened? Thick and fragrant now?

I have loved this moisturizer for years. I recently replenished, finishing one jar and starting the next. It's an entirely different product! Very thick, and highly fragrant that I could still smell only the fragrance 30 minutes after applying. I washed my face and could still smell the fragrance! Please bring the original formula back. Please please please.

Quality control issue

First time buying and the moisturizer has large irritating fragments in it. I emailed the company and was told (just like another reviewer) that there are “variances in the product” depending on batch but that they “promise it does not compromise the integrity of the product.” There’s no way that this should be acceptable, major quality control issue here!

Ice moisturizer BEWARE

New batch after months of waiting is not only different texture BUT it has hard gritty particles that scratch the skin. Shame on Sunday Riley...I have been calling and emailing and no one answers me. SKINFIX has a wonderful ceramide cream I have replaced it with.

Particles found in product!

Please check or change your manufacturer. Sometimes this product has an in intense fragrance smell and small white particles. I love this product and I’ve been using it for 2+ years but sometimes when I go to re-buy the product to replenish the jar I used up, it’s a 50/50 chance the product is normal or will have those weird small white particles and strong fragrance smell. Please fix the quality control issue.

New formula?

Have been using the Ice moisturizing cream since it came out, and I love it. Was bummed it was out for a bit, but finally came back. Is this a new formula? Still works great, has a bit of a different smell “that I don’t mind”, but the cream is grainy. Still gave 5 stars because I love it, but would prefer it to not be gritty/grainy.

Holy grail before reformulation, it’s fine after

The original ICE has been my holy grail moisturizer since the first time I tried it. It was the perfect level of moisture, absorption, texture, scent, long-lasting, etc. I couldn’t get my hands on refill for a while and was worried it was discontinued but it turns out it was reformulated. I am disappointed in the results. The texture is different (mine feels a little grainy?) and the thicker texture doesn’t seem to absorb as well for me. Also, I *loved* the scent of the original and I really don’t like the new scent. It also doesn’t feel as soothing to my sensitive skin. I really wish they hadn’t changed it.

Don't rest of this!!

This is a fantastic moisturizer! It doesn't take much so the bottle will last you a bit, even if you use it morning and night.
