First released in 1965, Habit Rouge’s woody, spicy fragrance enveloped with round vanilla became an olfactory symbol of French elegance. Taking its inspiration from the bold intensity, Habit Rouge Le Parfum opens with the rich tonalities of accord, followed perfectly with Guerlain’s unique vanilla tincture that is made according to its own special in-house process. A rather androgynous scent that can be shared!

My wife has a parfum tray of a dozen Guerlain scents. She rotates among them , with a little prejudice towards L'instant, Jicky & La Petit Robe Noir, and of course, Shalimar, the scent she wore when we met 48 years ago. I wear only Vetiver, and now perhaps Habit Rouge. Thanks for the memories, Guerlain!
