Spike Ultra Matte Lipstick

Very pretty

The packaging for this product is so chic and luxurious. I love that you can reuse the outer packaging once you run out of the lip product. This product is so beautiful as a lip topper but it is sooo beautiful on it's own as well. The sparkles are very fine so you have a glitter look to it but it's not so over the top that you'd reach for a product that is more subtle. It doesn't seem to affect the lip product used underneath. The scent is lovely....but not for a lip product. It is a bit too "perfumey" for a lip product and it taste like you inhaled when spraying a perfume. I received this product complimentary in exchange for my honest review.

Absolutely obsessed! Such a high quality product from a trusted brand. Easy to apply, beautiful shimmery shade that is long lasting, and has just the right amount of pigment. Not scented and the tube is gorgeous. Would definitely buy again!

Nice, but not my favorite product.

I love the packaging so much. It’s honestly stunning. The formula is super creamy and feels hydrating. The shimmer doesn’t spread very well in my opinion. Additionally I do not think this color looks good on its own, specifically for my skin tone. I tried layering it on top of a different lipstick and I felt the product became grainy, like you can feel the glitter. It also did not transfer onto my lip well. I used the charlotte tilbury pillow talk under it in my other picture. Overall, I think it could be nice on some colors and I may use it again in the future, but definitely not my favorite product if it’s purely just being used for shimmer.

I don’t typically go for shimmer lipsticks but this is an exception. Unlike other shimmery lipsticks, this is shimmery throughout. It doesn’t have a shimmer coat that gets wiped away after one swatch. Gorgeous and very easy on the lips

Cute packaging

I really liked it. I think the packaging is really cute and so is the color. It has a nice pigment to it and it’s fairly long lasting so if you’re gonna be out all day long, you don’t have to reapply as much. 

Pricey, but worth it

I have never in my life owned a lipstick this pricey. I always wondered what made them worth 2-4 times as much as what I would typically buy. This Valentino lipstick helped me understand what I was missing. From the start- that packaging was STUNNING. There is something to be said for pulling that out of your clutch and seeing your friends admire that beautiful spikey gold tube. Next, you might be concerned with how small the lipstick is...I was. Until i realized the incredible staying power. I did not have to reapply at all and even woke up the next morning after a night out with beautifully colored lips. Its pricey, but there's actually a good reason why for this brand.

Pretty

It’s a super pretty gold sparkly lipstick. Didn’t really suit me, but it’s so pretty that I keep trying to wear it reminds me of when everyone was crazy about Fenty’s trophy wife line

So luxe!

This lipstick is such a luxurious item. From the packaging all the way to the application it is gorgeous! The detail of the muted gold and etched in logo to the lipstick itself being stamped with the logo is just so gorgeous. Loved how it’s a magnetic top as well showing the fully thought details to make this use so luxe.

Pretty

It’s a super pretty gold sparkly lipstick. Didn’t really suit me, but it’s so pretty that I keep trying to wear it!
