Bb Burst Tinted Gel Cream

White cast

It's very hydrating and feels comfortable on the skin, but it has a white cast. I was surprised by this because I've only ever had that happen with sunscreens. I went back to the store and tried darker shades because I thought I had just bought the wrong shade, but they all seem to have this problem. Aside from this issue, coverage is nice and subtle, so this would probably work for people with lighter skin - I'm bummed that I can't really use it.

Most everyone is applying this wrong!

Holy grail status. This is literally the clean, skincare infused version of MAC F&B foundation, Everyone I’ve seen apply this (and mostly all of the poor reviews) is applying it wrong: You MUST apply a thin layer with fingertips, warming up the product first then spread and rub it in pretty vigorously all over, until you feel the product get stiff/ slightly tacky. Now that you’ve created this tacky base layer, you can go in and build up coverage with fingertips, sponge, brush, however you’d like. IMO, this is pretty budge proof and dare I say waterproof… very much like F&B. It’s extremely skin like, and feels like nothing once it settles and sets. I’m a MUA with 10+ years experience.. this will be a staple. Everything applies beautifully on top of this. So please please try applying this product the correct way, and then you can judge whether or not you love it!

Natural and Glowy Finish

I absolutely love this product!!!!! Gives the most beautiful “your skin but better” look ! Extremely hydrating, lightweight, glowy and natural . Perfect for no makeup makeup. Love it with the kosas concealer as well.

it's ok I guess

Smells like a box of crayons, color match is not neutral enough, a tiny bit too orange for a neutral. It does look nice on my skin though just by itself and feels fine with no texture. I have dehydrated combo skin and it melts into my skin just fine. It is kinda like a watery gel and not really like a cream. In order to use this, I'm going to have to mix it with a little bit of blue and white foundation mixers which defeats the purpose of it being a tinted moisturizer but I missed my window for returning so I'm gonna grin and bare it. Hopefully they come out with olive tones or better neutrals but for now, I would not repurchase

Want to love

I want to love this so bad but every time I wear it I get breakouts. I found that application was best when using my fingers to press it into the skin and it looked beautiful but it’s not worth the breakouts

Greasy

Greasy and separates on the skin. Decent color match though.

Grew on me

I bought this product on a recommendation from a “clean makeup” influencer. Initially, I was disappointed with consistency and smell of the product, but I keep giving it a try and I’m glad I did! I’ll apply it with my fingers then blend with a foundation brush, and it looks SO natural. Once it sets, the smell goes away and it gives great all-day coverage. I have acne prone combination skin and I find it doesn’t cling to my dry patches or clog my pores. Give it a chance - I will be repurchasing!

Terrible consistency and smell

Okay, I never write reviews but this product had a terrible consistency, it separated almost immediately when I pumped it onto the back of my hand, into oily chunky globs (see picture). It says it’s fragrance free but the smell was awful. It applied streaky and when I tried to blend it had already dried down, so it pilled quite a bit. The color was nice but that’s about it.

Love, but weird at first

I can’t apply this one with my fingers, I have to use a brush. When you rub it into your skin, you just rub about the clear gel while all the color stays in one spot. Still, beautiful skin-like finish. I love it, just use a brush to apply it lol.

Don’t understand the hype on this

I don’t know why this didn’t work for me. It just clings to dry patches and fine lines unless you sheer it waaaay out. I don’t want full coverage but what’s the point of putting it on when I can just use concealer

Smells like old crayons

You know that smell when you open a box of old crayons? That’s this. It comes out separated, but applies nicely. Trying to get past the smell because I really do love the way this makes my skin look. Formula needs to be tweaked though.

Not comparable to other bb creams

Compared to Dr. Jart the coverage is not good. I was color matched as close to other bb creams but this left alot to be desired on blemish coverup. Spend the extra $5-10 on another brand.
