Must have

Usually when I put on foundation my skin is so dry that it pulls and creases under my eyes and around my nose area, this prevents that and is wonderful! Def necessary in my routine

it felt greasy to me and I didn't noticed any mattifying effect. Also seemed to look cakey.

Best face primer for oily skin

This is my favorite face primer. I’ve been using it for years. I have oily skin, big pores and get hot really easily. I’m also in my early forties and have been using this for about 10 years.

This is by far the best primer I've ever used. It goes on smoothly, my makeup applies so much more evenly, and it lasts all day. I also have combination skiing and have had no issues with skin irritation.

worthless for me

I'm a Tarte fan but this did nothing to mattify my combo skin. Might have actually made it worse..More slippage of my makeup for sure (and I used a tiny amount).

Even skin

Made my foundation go on so even! Foundation flawless

Doesn't do the job

I have combination skin and my forehead gets oily QUICK. I often use primer to help with the shine on most days even without makeup. My skin became oily in an hour after applying this and I didn't even leave the house. I give it 2 stars for the smooth texture.

A great primer for my oily skin. It creates a smooth surface, and foundation sits well on top of it.

Broke me out

Caused me to break out and I still got pretty oily throughout the day :(

Best primer ever. Expensive but works amazing. Blurring and really helps makeup stay out and minimizes pores and lines. Aldo waterproof, combined with the waterproof foundation and the waterproof setting spray, you can go to the beach or the water park. Amazing! The best if you have oily type skin. Very matteifying but without drying. Texture is amazing and silicone like too

I usually love Tarte products, but this didn't do it for me. It was very drying, maybe even "too matte." My makeup didn't look smooth and flawless. It also irritated my skin and caused me to breakout.
