Mango Variant - Light Realistic Mango Scent

This has a soothing texture and formula for the skin on and around the lips. I am writing particularly about the mango scented variety this review. The mango scent is light and luscious like a real mango - definitely overpowering. It's just subtle and yet noticeably there especially on application. It doesn't really taste like it and doesn't really taste like anything actually. The formula is clear and useable even onto the skin around the lips. The way that this feels on the lips and nurtures them is what brings this product five stars. I would love it if it had more SPF in it, if it has any at all. It's a great lip balm for indoors and night time. It's also great to put on before putting on any face spf cream by which I might then give my lips and thereabouts some sun protection. It's great to put on before lip colour as a lip conditioner. Having squalene in it really helps to hydrate the lip area. The tube is a nice quality shiny tube. Any gender would like this as it's classic design ensures that. I think even my brother would like this as he loves mangoes and tends to use a lip balm although he'd probably need to have some spf in it because he works outdoors. Even without spf I can't go past giving it a five star rating because it conditions the lips so beautifully.

Average lip moisturiser

I have the Pear scented #1 lip balm. This balm is great for those who have lips that occasionally feel a little dry. I wouldn't recommend this for people who have dry, chapped lips like I do because it didn't relieve mine. A little bit does go a long way where too much can make you lips feel slippery, but the application isn't the easiest. It has a flat tip so application with fingers is required rather than a slanted application tip I personally prefer. The scent is pleasant, a slightly fruity scent that isn't sweet and dies down a little while after applying. I did expect more from this lip balm considering the price. However, to me it was quite average. It was more like nicely scented Vaseline in a tube- petrolatum is the first ingredient so I'm not too surprised. Nevertheless, this would be a great balm for those who would like a light lip moisturiser that's convenient to carry. It just wasn't the right one for my flaky, chapped lips.

I personally really like this product. Usually the skin on my lips are flaking off because they’re so chapped, but after using this the skin on my lips for a while they have become very smooth and are barely chapped anymore

I got this as part of a value set — I am surprised at how much I like this lip balm. It’s very hydrating and feels great on.

Holy grail lip product

This is the best lipbalm I've ever used. I recently moved from an area with 100% humidity to a place with around 60%. I was so dry; my face and body were not adjusting well. This lipbalm saved my lips after a couple days of applying it about twice a day. I like to use it before bed every night and during the day if I feel like it. My lips haven't been dry since, even when I go without the lipbalm for a couple days.

It’s okay

I love Kiehl’s but this lip balm doesn’t keep your lips moisturized for a long period. Feels nice when you first apply but goes away quickly. Too expensive for what it is :(

Reliable lip balm

I’ve been using for years. This is a nice lip balm. Sometimes lip balms can really dry out my lips, but not this one

Expensive lip balm

My lovely sister bought me a set of these which was great because no way am I paying $16 for a lip balm! I do like Kiehl ‘s products but definitely not their price. Kiehl’s is an American company and its products are made in the US. The company is owned by L’Oreal and does sell its products in China so is not certified cruelty free. The balm comes in a15ml white plastic tube with a black screw cap (more secure than a flip lid). There is a bit of blurb on the front and the back has ‘drug facts’ such as stop use if a rash occurs, and the ingredients. There is no indication of how long it lasts after opening (as far as I could see). This lip balm is 90.3% petrolatum so basically it’s expensive Vaseline. It also contains octinoxate which is a uv filter and gives it its SPF 4. I have the mango and vanilla (which I don’t think they make any more) and did have the mint and original flavours. The tastes are quite good without being overpowering and the feel on the lips is pleasant. It doesn’t leave your lips feeling greasy or sticky, just nicely hydrated (it contains wheat germ oil, vitamin E and aloe). It is recommended for the temporary protection and relief of chapped lips but as mine aren’t I don’t know how well it would do that. The moisturising effect lasts quite well and seems to absorb into your lips. My vanilla one has gone runny however the mango one is still thick. You need to apply it with your finger so it’s not as hygienic as one you apply directly to the lips- my lips are usually cleaner than my fingers. So it is a good lip balm but I really don’t see how it is worth the price when there are so many on the market that do the same for less.
